Since launching MRBCo more than two years ago, Adam Hutchinson and Sco Hansing have not only garnered a devoted following due to their stunning variety of cra beers, burgers, and quintessential brewpub fare – they've also become valued members of the East Helena community who frequently contribute to an impressive number of local and charitable causes. "East Helena is a smelter town and an industrial town, and we wanted to pay homage to that history," Sco says. "All the pieces of décor we have are actually from East Helena and the surrounding area. We have a parking meter from downtown, the irrigation piping on the tower came from a field in East Helena, and we made our tap handles from used hand tools." BREWS PALATE DISCREET at Missouri River Brewing Company There is nothing beer than sharing ice-cold brews with friends as the smoky scent of barbeque was in the breeze. Toss in stunning mountain views, two wide-open levels of gathering space, and an industrial, steampunk-style aesthetic, and you might have just landed yourself at the Missouri River Brewing Company (MRBCo), located in the bustling community of East Helena. & BBQ Many of MRBCo's tap handles are constructed from used hand tools. Owners Scott Hansing (L) and Adam Hutchinson (R) love creating new and unexpected beer varieties for their patrons. TEXT BY HOLLY MATKIN | PHOTOGRAPHY CRYSTAL GILLEN SIGNATURE MONTANA | 83
