LEGENDS WEST ART SHOW
e spirit of Western Art Week, as Mary passionately
notes, transcends the mere exhibition of art—it's a
soulful reunion, a celebration of communal spirit and
artistic fellowship. " Western Art Week is like a family
reunion. I get to see artists I haven't seen for a full year.
It just feeds my soul," Mary shares.
Among the constellation of artists is sculptor Christy
Daniels, whose affinity with the animal kingdom
shapes her exquisite bronzes. From the majestic grizzly
to the spirited horse, her sculptures are a testament to
her profound understanding of animal behavior and
her ability to infuse inanimate bronze with life and
emotion. Christy 's approach—capturing the subtleties
of mood and movement through slight adjustments
in posture—demonstrates her belief in art's power
to communicate the unspeakable. Her work, vibrant
with added hues like the striking red apples in "Apple
Loosa," echoes her philosophy: "I'm just plagiarizing
God's work. He breathes life into them, and I copy
what's on the outside."
