JULY 2024 RETAILOBSERVER.COM 15 lineup for North America, Miele embarked on development of its first-ever Miele Range, which launched in 2014. Created with a "Harmonious Design," the Miele Range line incorporates a common user interface and a matching design line specifically to complement its industry-leading built-in cooking appliances. Miele proved its motto – "Quality Ahead of its Time" – from the product's introduction by allowing for complete flush-mount installation, since its venting is not on the side of the appliance like other options on the market. Its bullnose design also allows for seamless integration with countertops when the Range is flush mounted. The Miele Ranges, offered in All-Gas, Induction, and Dual Fuel and available from 30" to the flagship 48" model, allow for the ultimate flexibility. This ever-evolving appliance offering has shifted to meet both advances in technology and customer demand for flexibility and professional results, and includes the innovations found in the Generation 7000 lineup of cooking appliances. Launching this Spring will be a discovery 30" Induction Range that will reach even more homeowners looking to introduce induction technology into their kitchens. "While the Miele brand is celebrating its 125th anniversary, it's important to note the coinciding 10-Year Anniversary of Miele Ranges. This milestone recognizes the true impact our 'Immer Besser' promise holds at its core," said Kelly Lam, vice president, marketing at Miele USA. "The brand's commitment to performance, quality, and craftsmanship is illustrated through this long-lasting product series and its development to serve the customer market." To further commemorate this anniversary, the brand is offering an exclusive complimentary 10-year warranty for new purchases of its Range series for a limited time starting March 1, 2024. INTERNATIONAL BUILDERS' SHOW AND KITCHEN & BATH INDUSTRY SHOW TO EXTEND CO-LOCATION AGREEMENT THROUGH 2030 The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) announced an agreement to extend the co-location of the International Builders' Show (IBS) and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) for four years through 2030. In 2013, NAHB and NKBA announced the initial agreement to co-locate IBS and KBIS under the banner of Design & Construction Week (DCW), beginning with the 2014 event held in Las Vegas. The co-located events have become the largest annual gathering of residential construction and design industry professionals. "Over the past decade, it has been amazing to see the incredible growth and success of Design & Construction Week," said NAHB CEO Jim Tobin. "We are thrilled to be able to further strengthen the relationship between IBS and KBIS and extend our agreement to host the premier event of the housing and design industry." "2024 marks the 60-year anniversary of KBIS – a tremendous accomplishment and an opportunity not only to celebrate our growth but to set goals for how we want to continue to elevate the show and help drive the industry forward," said Bill Darcy, global president & CEO of NKBA|KBIS. "We've had great success collaborating with NAHB and IBS and are proud to announce our continued partnership as part of this milestone year. As the kitchen, bath, and wider residential building, architect, design, and remodeling sectors continue to grow, it's more important than ever to provide a central source for inspiration and innovation." "Design & Construction Week has truly excelled, proving to be a resounding success – and we couldn't be more excited to extend the partnership between KBIS and IBS," said Brian Pagel, executive vice president, residential and commercial connections, Emerald. "We've seen record-setting numbers of new exhibitors and attendees in recent years and look forward to building on our continued growth as one of the largest industry events in the country thanks to our shared presence with the NAHB and IBS." From 2027 through 2030, the two shows will continue to occupy separate halls within the Las Vegas Convention Center. (One pass will give registrants access to both exhibits.) NKBA and NAHB will continue to produce separate educational programming and special events. The 2024 DCW, held this week in Las Vegas, marks the 11th year of the agreement. The two shows are expected to host more than 2,400 exhibitors, over 110,000 total industry professionals spanning over 1 million net square feet of exhibit space. IBS is the largest annual light construction show in the world. Builders, remodelers, developers, and other industry professionals from more than 100 countries attend to see the latest products and services from more than 1,800 exhibitors and attend over 120 cutting-edge education sessions, visiting show homes that feature the latest trends and innovations, and network with peers. Now in its 80th year, IBS is organized, produced, and managed exclusively by NAHB. Held annually for the last 60 years, KBIS is North America's largest industry event dedicated to all aspects of kitchen and bath design. KBIS is an inspiring interactive event that showcases the latest products, trends, and technologies from over 670 exhibitors and almost 100 educational sessions. Attendees include dealers, designers, architects, remodelers, wholesalers, and custom builders. KBIS is owned by NKBA and produced by Emerald. In 2025, DCW will return to the Las Vegas Convention Center, Feb. 25-27. The 2026 event will move to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. In 2027 DCW returns to Las Vegas where it will remain until 2030.
