Pedersen enjoys the idea of the
outdoors from the comfort of the
indoors. Almost handsome and just
shy of charming, his know-it-all
attitude has tested the patience of
many. But in a fun way.

Dave recalls. "I'm just a grunt, just a helper. My long-term
goal is to advance up and get my scuba diving instructor
qualifications and be able to help teach people."
During the cleanup, the team removed trash and invasive
weeds from the pristine spring area, ensuring the pure water
continued to flow freely. e spring is relatively clean and
free of debris; however, one lucky female diver recovered
an 1860s silver dollar. "Giant Springs is absolutely, perfectly
clear," Tami marvels. "It's almost like you aren't even in water."
While the area is off-limits to fishing, it does offer divers the
chance to go eye-to-eye with massive rainbow trout.
Tami, preferring to orchestrate the magic from behind the
scenes, remains focused on the future. "We're developing this
as we go," she says. e group welcomes donations to provide
more equipment for veterans and is always on the lookout for
