27 "I am grateful that Capitol Ministries has a worldwide mission. This nation, the United States, was meant to be a light to the world. When William Penn came to Pennsylvania and was granted this land, one of his objectives was to bring his religious beliefs to what would become the United States of America. His vision was to be that shining city on the hill. We need to expand that light to the rest of the world. I'm excited to have the Word of God being taught in an unapologetic way inside the Pennsylvania Capitol. I am grateful to be a part of Capitol Ministries and its worldwide mission." Chris Dush Pennsylvania State Senator W hen the hearts of parliamentarians and pol- icy makers are won for Christ and these men and women of power and influence are discipled by Bible-teaching evangelists, the Holy Spirit will lead them into truth. ese leaders will learn God's pre- cepts and principles and begin to think biblically as they chart the trajectory of their nations. It is for this reason that Capitol Ministries takes the Gospel to all who are in authority (1 Timothy 2:2) on for- eign shores. Our top-level infrastructure was strengthened considerably in 2023. We commissioned Alberty Reyes, talented, dedicated, and proven in ministry, to be the new global director for the Caribbean. Pastor Kumar Singh Praja, an accomplished and humble leader, was named global director for Southwest Asia as well as ministry leader for members of the Federal Parliament of Nepal. Pastor Frank Cuozzo, our Hawaii ministry leader, was named assistant South Pacific global director. In this new role, Pastor Frank will work with South Pacific global director Inoke Kubuabola to establish Bible-study based weekly ministries in 17 island nations and the federal capitals of Australia and New Zealand. Pastor Matt Goodsell, Missouri ministry leader, was commissioned as glob- al director for North America, replacing Pastor Brian Solomon who was named global director for training. CapMin's director of international minis- tries is Pastor Brian Hanson who oversees growth, development, and wellbeing of CapMin's sustainable international ministries which are being planted at an unexpect edly fast pace. An enthusiastic evangelist, Pastor Brian also co-leads the weekly Bible study to Ohio legislators with Pastor Brian Solomon. With these directors strategically placed, CapMin is in a position to achieve double digit growth in adding federal ministries every year moving forward. is necessary infrastructure, which has been years in the making, was a long-time objective of our leadership team and our Board of Directors and we praise the Lord for this achievement. Looking to the future, aer ministry leaders are placed in federal capitols, CapMin will move into phase two which is recruit- ing, training, and placing ministry leaders in the state or provincial capitols of each nation. As of this year, we have established 110 ministries to state or national leaders and 56 Local Government Ministries (LGM) to city and county office hold- ers across the globe. One significant ministry that launched in 2023 was to federal leaders in Bogota, Colombia by Pastor José Villanueva. A former par- liamentarian, Pastor José is well respected and net- worked among political and faith communities. In addition to leading the weekly Bible study to legis- lators, he is charged with recruiting Bible teachers to lead ministries in each of Colombia's 32 state capitals. As Latin America global director, Oscar Zamora is primarily responsible for this tremendous expansion. Well-connected in the political and faith communi- ties, Oscar has recruited Bible teachers, participated in their training, helped organize training confer- ences, and facilitated the launch of ministries across Latin America. Plans call for CapMin leaders to return to Colombia to train the new state ministry leaders in 2024. "Expansion of the ministry is strong and the Holy Spirit is moving and bringing quality men to our ministry," said Pastor Brian Hanson. "We are humbled to see God continuing to move in every theater of the world that we are involved in." Abundant food is in the fallow ground of the poor, but it is swept away by injustice.
