8 O ur nation was founded on biblical principles, but we have dried far from those biblical principles. at is not working well for us as a nation. In addressing the Massachusetts Militia on October 11, 1798, President John Adams said, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." is wisdom applies today. When biblical prin- ciples are not followed, we end up with a more oppressive government and we begin to lose our religious liberties. is will result in our nation not being able to export the Gospel around the globe. Our very purpose to go and evangelize and fulfill the Great Commission (Mat- thew 28:16–20) could be prohibited. We are and must continue to be that shining city on the hill. "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden," Jesus said in Matthew 5:14. is concept is at the heart of Capitol Ministries. As a nation, we need a revival, and in the seats of government, our elected officials need to make wise deci- sions based on biblical principles. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people (Proverbs 14:34). Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ in the political arena throughout the world. By reaching political leaders first in priority with the Word of God as the Bible directs, we are fulfilling the Great Commission in a biblical and most efficient and effective way. As we work to make Him known around the globe, God continues to bless His ministry. Each year, qualified ministry leaders and global direc- tors are added to the stellar team of quality men we've already recruited. He is expanding our scope. Every time I attend a training conference, I'm impressed with the quality of leaders He's brought to us from around the world. And we are looking into ways to expand our scope further. Among a number of initiatives the board is considering for 2024 is a na- tion-wide radio program that would be hosted by Ralph Drollinger and would showcase CapMin's Bible studies. is endeavor would ac- complish three objectives: provide more solid, biblical teach- ing to listeners, increase awareness of the ministry, and al- low us to recruit men to lead Bible studies to the local city and county public servants in their neighborhoods through our Local Government Ministries initiative. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your prayers and your generous and sacrificial support to Capitol Ministries. We are grateful to our Lord for you. It is my job and that of the Board of Directors to ensure that ministry funds are wisely stewarded. It is a role the Board takes seriously. We, too, are invested in the work of this ministry with our hearts, our time, talents, and treasures. is year, as in past years, the ministry is solvent and we have no debt. We thank you for partnering with us to increase His kingdom on Earth. In Him, Rob Hilarides from the chair Dear friends,
