Optimizing workflows at
Oradell Animal Hospital
Oradell Animal Hospital
embodies a mission of clinical
excellence, compassionate
care, and exceptional service.
Serving approximately
90,000 pet patients
annually and operating
with 65 veterinarians on
staff, the hospital faces the
challenges of a large-scale
operation, requiring seamless
coordination to deliver the
best possible care.
Leveraging the Covetrus
®
Platform, Oradell optimizes
its workflows, reduces staff
workload, and positions itself
for sustained growth while
maintaining its commitment
to patient care.
The challenge
Operating one of the largest veterinary hospitals, Medical Director Rita Angelo,
VMD, strives to provide pets with essential care and their owners with an excellent
customer experience. With 90,000 patients a year over three locations, precision
and efficiency across operations are required to maintain accurate patient records,
manage inventory, handle pharmacy operations, and improve staff coordination.
Before implementing Covetrus solutions, Oradell encountered inefficiencies across
disjointed systems that struggled to communicate with one another. Small but
critical issues became bottlenecks, adding stress to staff and taking away from the
consistent high-quality care they were determined to offer.
Enter the Covetrus Platform: a solution that transformed their operations
with intelligent, integrated technology.
The solution
Covetrus provided Oradell Animal Hospital with a suite of advanced solutions
to tackle their operational challenges. These tools were designed to integrate
the hospital's practice management system, pharmaceutical management, and
inventory supply—all while offering hands-on support from experienced account
representatives.
This holistic approach significantly reduced the workload on Oradell's employees,
providing back end support so that they can focus their time and energy on
providing excellent patient care.
The online pharmacy helps control costs and improve profits by allowing us to customize the
medication we carry and outsource the medications we can't stock."
