RETAILOBSERVER.COM MARCH 2026 32 A S S O C I AT I O N [ N E W S ] T he National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA | KBIS) and the High Point Market Authority (HPMA) are continuing their successful partnership at the April 25 to 29 Spring Market in High Point, NC. The two organizations forged a strategic alliance in May 2025, marking the convergence of the kitchen and bath sector with the home furnishings industry. The alliance is expanding both organizations' influence within the design community and the growing focus on the whole home. With more than 55,000 members, NKBA | KBIS is the world's leading trade association for the kitchen and bath industry, and owner of the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). HPMA organizes the semi-annual High Point Market, the world's largest home furnishings trade show destination, held every April and October. The alliance fosters a greater connection and opportunities for collaboration between the K&B and interior design communities. NKBA has participated at High Point Market with various activations, sponsored panels, and educational programming. Last October, at Fall Market, the association ramped up its participation significantly with a major presence at historic Broad Hall. This design hub brings together prominent bath, appliance, lighting, and indoor/ outdoor kitchen brands, as well as interior design brands including paint and home technology providers, in full-scale vignettes that illustrate the evolution of kitchen and bath into whole-home design. The spaces were designed by Kerrie Kelly, Chair of the NKBA Board of Directors and CEO and creative director of Kerrie Kelly Studio in Sacramento, CA. Kelly created an immersive experience that celebrates the intersection of luxury kitchen and bath design with craftsmanship and innovation. "Designing Broad Hall was an opportunity to honor High Point's rich history while reflecting NKBA's forward-looking commitment to whole-home innovation," Kelly said in the fall. "Through layered materials, curated brand collaborations and immersive storytelling, the space invites designers to explore what's next in luxury design — beyond the kitchen and bath." NKBA and Cosentino's combined presence in Broad Hall is an intentional experience designed to expand awareness of kitchen and bath brands for the High Point design community. Besides the partnership with Cosentino, brands participating with NKBA at Spring Market include Kichler Lighting, James Martin Vanities, Sherwin-Williams, Ferguson Home, Fabuwood, BlueStar, Signature Hardware, Miele, Urban Bonfire, FreePower, Lutron, Blanco, Azenco, and Feeney, as well as Codarus, which owns Broad Hall and is a collaborative partner in this venture. Saturday through Monday, NKBA and its brand partners will present curated programming and events, including panels and presentations with designers, brands, and thought leaders from around the country. Programming for Spring Market will feature exciting and relevant topics in home design trends, entertainment, and entrepreneurship, while also incorporating networking, brand spotlights and surprise-and-delight moments for attendees. There will also be opportunities for networking and designer engagement throughout the market.
