Chuck Whitaker gathered a few friends last Nov. 1, 2025, to plow 35 acres at his family farm just northeast of Sigel, Ill. The event came together rather quickly, he said. "Got a call from a neighbor on Wednesday, Oct. 29. He said, 'Let's have a plow day on Saturday.' I said, 'Sure, where at?' He replied, 'Your house.' I answered, 'Oh boy, wife is going to love this.'" Whitaker said orange tractors led the plowing parade with a 185 and a four-bottom, a 210 with a five-bottom, a 220 with a six-bottom and a couple 7045's — one with a seven-bottom semi-mount and the other with a seldom-seen four-bottom roll- over. "Neighbors made sure the other tractor colors were represented," he said. "Weather was partly cloudy and cool. And yes, I was the one in the cab." 'Let's have a plow day!' 20 OLD ALLIS NEWS
