He found a farm he could rent to farm on. The first year, he farmed with a McCormick 10-20. In 1947, he bought a farm on his own, and that was the start of numerous Allises — two WD's, WD45, two C's, two D17's and a D19. My dad has passed, but my two brothers and I have continued the tradition of Allis. We have 39 old Allises now, and they go to shows, plowing days and tractor pulls. I think there will always be Allis in our yard. Submitted photo Prigge's WD45 Diesel and WD with D19 engine hit the fields in southeastern Minnesota. Always Allis in the yard 53 OLD ALLIS NEWS
