Letters from you ... Doing their homework Submitted photos David Kasler and his 11-year-old son Nolan, left, love receiving and reading Old Allis News. In fact, Nolan has nightly reading time for homework, and when OAN arrives, he "actually looks forward to his reading time," says Dad. "He loves learning about Allis-Chalmers tractors and is already pretty knowledgeable." Nolan even spotted a typo on Page 27 in the 2025 Fall 2025 edition: The picture description reads "A WC with Oswalt Industries ensiler." He noticed the hydraulic and throttle quadrant and said, "Dad, that's a WD, not a WC." Dad was pretty impressed he caught that small detail. The Kaslers reside in Ashville, Ohio. Wyatt Moody says his granddaughter, Amara Moody, 2 (inset), loves looking at her great-grandfather's copy of OAN. Amara's great-grandfather is John Moody of Eminence, Ky. They wanted to keep my A-C's David and Heidi, It's time once again to renew my subscription to Old Allis News. So, here is my check for two more years. Our club featured Allis last year, in 2025, so naturally, I had to take a bunch of my tractors over there. Got the neighbor boys to drive some over to the show. They wanted to take them home instead of the show. I convinced them otherwise to go to the show. Keep up the good work. Allen Boden, Sterling, Neb. Teen bought family WD45 Dear Old Allis News, Thank you. This (subscription) goes to our son, who is 14. He loves it. Such an Allis fan. He bought his great-grandpa's WD45 this year. His great-grandpa bought it new. Four generations ownership. Randy and Debra Lee, Hadley, Minn. 'B' helps keep memories alive Dear Old Allis News, I still have the Allis B I learned to drive on. We (had) a WC and WD, traded the WC with a corn cultivator off on a new Ford 4000 with loader. We also had an Allis 60 combine that I rode along on while my grandpa combined oats. I was 8 or 10. I am now 80 and I still remember those days. Thanks for the magazine keeping memories alive. Bill Matznick, Chilton, Wis. Reader worked in dad's shop Dear David and Heidi, I want to thank you for your efforts in publishing the Old Allis News. I am sure it takes a great deal of effort to find new articles for each issue. I enjoy each issue and read it cover to cover. The articles bring back fond memories of my childhood. My father worked at Scott Allis-Chalmers in Brownstown, Ind. He went on to become a dealer in Orleans, Ind., for several years. I enjoyed working in the shop and on the Allis equipment. I even had a WC pulling tractor that we put a 190 turbo on. When it worked, it was a lot of fun, but keeping it together was an issue. Please take care and keep up the good work. I know a lot of people enjoy the magazine. Sincerely, Arthur Nelson, North Myrtle Beach, S.C. A-C ranch helpers Dear Old Allis News, Thank you for the Old Allis News. I run all Allis- Chalmers on the family cattle ranch. I met the two of you at the Lynden, Wash., A-C show in 2013. Ron Souza, Petaluma, Calif. 4 OLD ALLIS NEWS
