Sprice Basement Retreat — An unfinished
basement was transformed into an elegant space
with kickboxing gym, organized storage, office,
bar, media/entertaining area, and spa bathroom
where each room carries a cohesive, elevated
aesthetic.
Design Solutions
• Exposed furnace ducting replaced with re-
duced duct runs where possible
• Integrated ceiling drops into the design through
paneling and detailing, turning functional
constraints into architectural features
• Lack of natural light addressed with layered
dimmable lighting integrated in niches, under
vanity, and within shelving for a warm, spa-like
ambiance
Special Features
• Calacatta Vagli marble surfaces define the
space with book-matched shower walls,
mitered bench and niche, and mitered-edge
vanity that highlight grey and gold veining
• Elevated marble vanity with detailing: inset
medicine cabinet with curved mirror,
illuminated wall niche, and accent lighting
beneath
• Hemlock-clad infrared sauna with glass doors
• Luxurious finishes including full wall paneling,
heated floors, gold-finished Brizo fixtures and
accessories, and Jonathan Browning knurled
brass sconces
• Ceiling-integrated speakers in sauna and
shower for premium, spa-like audio
