PAT SCALES REMODELING
COLUMBUS, OHIO
The homeowners began this project
feeling frustrated. With their kids getting
older, they were finally ready to upgrade
their kitchen without worrying about wear
and tear. They dreamed of a light, open,
modern space – with an island at its
center. During their search for a
contractor, another company told them
an island would require extending the
floor plan and cantilevering the joists
three feet into the backyard. The
homeowners didn't want that approach
and couldn't believe it was their only
option. The team embraced the challenge
of bringing their vision to life – beautifully
and efficiently – within the home's existing
exterior walls.

MAE REEDY DESIGN LLC
PLANO, TEXAS
This kitchen renovation focused on
creating a space for everyday life. The
clients needed more connection, flow, and
function for a growing family. The team
delivered through smart space planning,
timeless materials, and a layout that brings
people together. To stretch the budget, the
team repurposed and extended existing
cabinetry and refinished the original wood
floors. Savings funded structural improve-
ments, including removing a dividing wall
and adding a true dine-in island. Storage
increased with floor-to-ceiling cabinetry,
blind-corner pullouts, and an appliance
garage. Copper accents and a herringbone
backsplash add warmth and texture. Every
detail supports family living – beautiful,
practical, and built to last.
