ELECTRIFY KITCHENS WITHOUT REWIRING
For developers, electrification is no longer a future consideration.
From New York City co-ops dealing with aging gas infrastructure to
California housing projects pursuing incentives, electrification is at
our doorstep.
The path is rarely straightforward, but the kitchen is where retrofits
often stall out. Traditional induction ranges require 240V circuits,
panel capacity, and electrical upgrades across every unit. Electra
was designed to remove that barrier entirely.
BATTERY-EQUIPPED INDUCTION SOLVES THIS
Electra is a battery-equipped induction stove that plugs into the
standard 120V outlet already behind most gas ranges. Its built-in
5kWh battery charges from the wall at an adjustable 5-12 amps,
then delivers the power to the induction cooktop and full-size
convection oven at once.
For multifamily developers, that means an easier path to
electrification and energy resilience: fewer electrical upgrades, less
tenant disruption, and the ability to cook through a power outage in
every unit.
WHAT ELECTRA UNLOCKS
Electra offers a code-compliant path to all-electric kitchens that
doesn't require rethinking the electrical design or fighting for utility
service capacity.
By reducing the nameplate rating by 85% compared to a tradi-
tional induction stove, Electra can free up to 1 MW of panel
capacity for a 100-unit building – unlocking enough capacity for a
Level 2 EV charger for every unit (as required in CA) without
service upgrades.
