60 60 D I R E C TO R VALERIU GHILETCHI EUROPEAN UNION DIRECT MINISTRY e year 2025 has been another blessed and fruitful year. I continued my ministry in the European Union. I traveled mainly from my home country Moldova to Brussels and Strasbourg, where I led regular Bible studies with Members of the European Parliament (EP), and with members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). e inside leader in the EP is MEP Cristian Terhes. In PACE I am both, the inside leader and the Bible teacher. Since I am an honorary Member of PACE aer being an MP there for almost 14 years, it allows me to be the inside leader. Last year at the end of September, we had Parliament elections in the Republic of Moldova. Last December I had the first meeting of the Bible study group aer the elections. e inside leader is MP Ion Groza. TRAVEL AND NETWORKING I have made a record of 20 trips during this year. In addition to the regular Bible studies in the EP, PACE, and Moldovan Parliament, I participated in other important events. On May 19, I attended the Central European Prayer Breakfast that took place in Bratislava. is gave me a good opportunity to network with leaders of the PB from different European countries. It was also an opportunity to strengthen the ministry in the Slovak Republic. On July 8–12, I went to Brisbane with South Pacific Director Julian Kivori and South Pacific Assistant Director Frank Cuozzo to the Baptist World Congress. ere we made many contacts with Baptist leaders from different corners of the world, predominantly from Asia, Africa and South Pacific. We had a great opportunity to share with them about the Cap Min and give them our literature. On September 24–27, I went to Amman, Jordan, where I attended the General Council of the European Baptist Federation. is was another great opportunity to network with Baptist leaders from different European countries. TRAINING CONFERENCE Last year we had one European training conference. e conference took place on June 2–4 in Rome, Italy. Slavik's good friend Gaetano Sottile was very helpful in organizing this conference. It was a great conference. ere were about 20 people, including two couples from Malta. All attendees were very open to our teaching. I had a great honor to teach for the first time during a CapMin conference. e training laid a good foundation for the launch that we plan to have in 2026. 60
