Brittany Mouzourakis, '11, was recently named one of 2013's breakthrough students in animal law by the Animal Legal Defense Fund and received one of their scholarships for her outstanding work in the growing field of animal law. She attends the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University. Sarah Murphy, '11, and Samantha Quist, '12, were selected for 2013 W.K. Kellogg Foundation Woodrow Wilson Michigan Teaching Fellowships. They will receive $30,000 stipends to complete a special intensive master's program. Murphy will attend Wayne State University, and Quist will attend Western Michigan University. Andrew Nalian, '11, wrote "50 Deeds for Those in Need." He spoke to CMU students during Leadership Safari this year about the power of giving. Todd Penning, '12, was recently named assistant principal at Hope Academy of West Michigan in Grand Rapids. He and his wife, Laurie, and their two children live in Hudsonville. Jacob J. Kelley, '12, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Katie Pohlman, '12, was recently hired as a social media account executive at BERLINE, one of Metro Detroit's top advertising agencies. She resides in Milford.
