C'MON BACK
You'll be impressed
CMU is an amazing place.
If you've been away for a while,
we have a lot to share with you.
Your university is a global leader
that's more impressive than ever.
• CMU researchers are exploring
cancer vaccines, virtual reality
therapy to help injured soldiers,
and better treatment for
Huntington's, Parkinson's and
Alzheimer's diseases.
• Our student-run TV station has
won College Station of the
Year 12 years in a row. CMU
apparel designers helped test
new National Hockey League
and National Football League
uniforms using our high-tech
equipment, including a
thermal camera.
• Our teachers and school leaders
are found in schools across the
state and beyond. CMU's new
College of Medicine is the
nation's 137th medical school.
Our biology program is one of
CMU's fastest growing areas
and has a $10 million grant
researching and preserving the
world's largest supply of fresh
water – the Great Lakes.
New buildings and majors
have changed our landscape.
And CMU's Global Campus
has more than 50 locations
worldwide, including more than
20 centers on military bases.
