Largest Zipline Course in the World Provides Adventure for All Ages Soaring® Tree Top Adventures, the largest zipline course in the world, has recently added three new zipline spans. Two of the new spans are over 600 feet long, running side-by-side, allowing guests to race one another as they travel through spectacular old growth forest. The addition of the three spans to the Durango, Colorado zipline canopy tour makes for a total of 27 unique and exciting zipline spans to delight guests of all ages. The all-day, family-friendly zipline adventure allows children and grandparents alike to glide through the air with an occasional stop on a network of lacy stainless steel platforms nestled high among the forest. After working up a healthy appetite, there is a much welcomed lunch break with a four-course gourmet lunch served on the elevated platforms with breathtaking views of the Animas River. The Soaring experience includes a full eco-tour hosted by Eco Rangers where guests learn about the relationships between the trees and animals that exist in oldgrowth forest and how they work together to decrease Soaring's global footprint through sustainable practices. Their patented block and cable suspension system is completely noninvasive to the old-growth Ponderosa pines. A second patent is Soaring's unique non-braking system, which allows guests to soar across each cable and gently arrive to the next platform with a Sky Ranger there to receive and send off. This system allows guests of all ages to participate, as they don't need to have any special skill or strength. Are you ready for your adventure? Then all aboard. Soaring's zipline adventure is only accessible by the historic Durango Train, and Soaring includes first class train cars for a luxury travel experience. A Soaring representative awaits at the Tall Timber Legend train car where "ticketless travel" and open car seating are reserved for the limited 60 daily guests. Soaring is open seven days a week, May through October and has been rated the #1 attraction in the United States on TripAdvisor.com.
