According to Atlas Van's Corporate Relocation Survey 2014, more than a third of firms saw volumes increase, and nearly a third reported
budgets increase as well in 2012. Relocation is on a steady incline, and incentives are playing a key role. The survey found 76 percent of
respondents indicate their firms offered additional incentives to encourage employee relocations in 2012; this has progressively increased
for the past five years from 60 percent in 2008. The market has adjusted how relocation providers do business. New approaches include
pre-decision assessments on house values; loss on sale provisions; buyer value options; short-term, flexible assignments; and incentive
bonuses to sell faster.
