entire building industry comes together in North America next year. Between IBS and KBIS, the anticipated number of exhibiting companies is expected to top 1,500. Attendees will see hundreds of new and improved products, and also have access to company representatives to ask questions and help solve problems. What to Look For For the storm and hurricane protection industry, several booths are sure to draw attention. Simpson Strong-Tie (Booth C1827) presents structural products that help people build safer and stronger homes and buildings economically. Its extensive product offering includes connectors, fasteners, fastening systems, lateralforce resisting systems, anchors and products for concrete repair, strengthening and protection. Many of its structural products are recognized for helping structures resist high winds, hurricanes and seismic forces. DaVinci Roofscapes (Booth C2136) will feature polymer roofing tiles. All DaVinci roofs resist impact, fire, algae and insects. Each DaVinci composite roof shingle is lightweight, impervious to freeze/thaw cycles, impact resistant, maintenance free, color fade resistant, Class A fire rated (with specified underlayments), and wind resistant to 110 mph. Simonton Windows (Booth C6113) will showcase a selection of high-performance windows, including its StormBreaker Plus impact-resistant windows. In Booth S1219, Superior Walls of America will present precast concrete wall panels for foundation and above grade applications. Steel reinforced and insulated with DOW Styrofoam, these panels create a barrier against sidewall water penetration. SimTek Fence (Booth S2500) offers decorative rock walls that will not warp, fade or crack, and never need painting or staining. They withstand temperatures from -40 degrees F to +140 degrees F, and are unaffected by water, salt spray and algae. They also can withstand constant hurricane force winds up to 110 mph and gusts to 130 mph. Kolbe Windows & Doors (Booth C2608) will showcase wood and vinyl windows and doors for residential and commercial markets. Kolbe can provide custom products that best fit any need from a multitude of performance options, including sustainable design, energy efficiency or impact resistance. Cummins Power Generation (Booth S1636, P20) introduces a new line of residential standby generators, QuietConnect™ and PowerConnect™. All of its generator systems are designed and assembled with care in North America, with continuous efforts in product research and development. From the roofline to the foundation, the TYPAR Weather Protection System (Booth C5916) is engineered to assure the greatest protection against the damaging impacts of moisture penetration to the building envelope. ODL (Booth C2139) presents decorative and clear doorglass, severe weather doorglass certified for high-wind areas, enclosed add-on blinds, retractable screens and tubular skylights – all products designed to build value into the home.
