CMU and the Saginaw Chippewa
Indian Tribe hosted the 25th
annual Pow Wow in March,
featuring drum and dance contests,
in addition to food and craft
vendors in the Events Center.
"I think it's a great place for
people to come out and try
our Native American foods and
actually learn a little bit about
our culture that's here in Mount
Pleasant," said Tonya Jackson, a
youth empowerment aide for the
Tribal Youth Lead department. •
