What is one of your favorite articles you've written recently? I enjoyed writing this issue's Producer Profle featuring Scott Norton and Mark Ramadan of Sir Kensington's. It was fun to get to know them and hear a few of the interesting stories about how their business came to be. Share your fondest food memory. Spending time in the kitchen with my stepfather has always been a treat for me. I loved being his sous chef when I was growing up, especially at Tanksgiving. One year we even recorded our own cooking show for the occasion. I would like to think he's the reason I've gained such an afnity for all things culinary. What's the strangest food/meal you've ever had? How was it? Cuttlefsh with black squid ink sauce. It was at a little restaurant in Venice and though the color was quite of-putting, it was surprisingly delicious. What are some of your non-gastronomic interests? I'm a certifed yoga teacher and can generally be found either at my computer or on my yoga mat. I also love running and spending time with my family and two rescue dogs. Eat out or stay in? While it's hard to beat the ease of eating out, these days I prefer staying in and try- ing interesting new recipes.
