The fall enrollment number was preceded by another
milestone during the summer. Carson-Newman had
a record 329 summer graduate students, which
represented a 53 percent increase thanks in part to
an MBA program hitting its stride and the addition of
the University's first doctoral program in education,
as well as an Educational Specialist degree.
The summer number is a good indicator for the
institution's direction according to Executive Vice
President and Provost Kina Mallard.
"In today's challenging higher education environment,
universities must be ready to adapt to the needs of the
market and our students," said Mallard. "We believe
this record number for summer is confirmation that
we continue to be heading in the right direction."
