Day 25 Ittoqqortoormiit – Denmark Strait (FB,L,D) Visit the largest settlement in East Greenland, with a population of 450 inhabitants, the locals of Ittoqqortoormiit live a relatively modern lifestyle considering they live above the Arctic Circle. In the afternoon, your ship sails for Iceland. Day 26 Denmark Strait (FB,L,D) Enjoy fi nal presentations on specialist subjects like whale migration, as this strait regularly hosts large migrations of humpback whales. Day 27 Isafjordur, Iceland (FB,L,D) Your fi rst taste of Iceland is in the remote northern town of Isafjordur, where steep mountains fl ank a narrow harbour with spectacular views across the fjord. Day 28 Grundafjordur (FB,L,D) The volcanic landscapes of Iceland are easily seen at Grundafjordur, with a uniquely warm climate for the region and unusually beautiful surroundings, the town has become a haven for fi sherman and tourists. Killer whales are known to favour this area for calving, with pods of up to 20 animals often seen in the bay. Day 29 Iceland disembarkation (FB) Disembark your ship in Iceland's capital, Reykjavik.
