View the Lone Cypress Tree, Pebble Beach Golf Links, and visit the beautiful beachside town of Carmel. Overnight Stay: Hyatt Regency Monterey Day 5 Monterey – Santa Ynez (FB) Make our way south through the "Breadbasket of California". Visit the historical Hearst Castle and finish the day in the wine region of Santa Ynez. Enjoy an afternoon city tour including a trip through the downtown area and a visit to the Grammy Museum. Walk along Hollywood Boulevard and see the Walk of Fame. You're Invited: Take a jeep tour with a local Navajo guide into Lower Monument Valley. Finish the day in picturesque Lake Powell. Overnight Stay: Lake Powell Resort Day 12 Lake Powell – Bryce Canyon (FB,D) Take a spectacular boat ride through the canyons of Lake Powell. Make our way to the extraordinary Bryce Canyon. The distinctive feature of this area is the fascinating hoodoos that rise from the valley floor. Journey along the rim of the canyon taking in these extraordinary structures. Overnight Stay: Best Western Plus Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel Day 13 Bryce Canyon – Salt Lake City (FB) Leave the deserts and canyons behind as you head north to Salt Lake City. You will be taken on an orientation tour of the city including Temple Square, the Mormon Tabernacle and the State Capitol building. Overnight Stay: Sheraton Salt Lake City Day 14 Salt Lake City – Jackson (FB) Travel north across the Oregon Trail and into Wyoming to the picturesque town of Jackson. Enter Grand Teton National Park and travel to Teton Glacier Turnout, Jenny Lake, Jackson Lake and Oxbow Bend. Keep an eye out for the abundant wildlife such as moose, coyote, golden eagles, bison, elk and bears. The afternoon sees us in Yellowstone National Park. Two Night Stay: National Park Lodge Day 16 Yellowstone National Park (FB) Continue through Yellowstone National Park. Visit Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, Tower Falls, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and Lake Yellowstone. You are likely to see some of the local wildlife such as bears, wolves, elk, moose and bighorn sheep. (Itinerary may vary depending on time and lodging). Day 17 Yellowstone National Park – Cody HD (FB,HD) Travel through Shoshone National Forest to the town of Cody, named after Buffalo Bill Cody. Visit the Buffalo Bill Centre of the West to learn more about the colourful history of the American West. You're Invited: Visit the original abode and hotel of Buffalo Bill, and enjoy a traditional meal followed by a Western cowboy show. Overnight Stay: The Cody Day 18 Cody – Rapid City (FB,D) Pass through Little Bighorn National Forest and across the plains into South Dakota to Rapid City. Two Night Stay: Adoba Hotel Day 19 Rapid City – Mt Rushmore (FB) Visit the sculpture of Mt Rushmore that portrays the faces of the four famous American Presidents. Step on board a traditional 1880's steam train for a journey through the Black Hills. Then visit Crazy Horse Memorial, a sculpture in memory of the famous Native American leader.
