"One of the services we were especially proud of is our complimentary Registered Dietitian services," she says. "Greater Morristown's in-store dietitian, Jessica Guarnieri, is available for one-on-one counseling and individual store tours to help you create a shopping list that works for your lifestyle." Destination Dining While many stores offer a place for customers to eat prepared foods or drink a quick cup of coffee—and that trend is growing—Village Super Market goes a step further with the Village Food Garden. The food court houses several specialty eateries, including Mr. Perry's Smokehouse, La Piazetta Trattoria & Deli, and Blueprint Subs and Salads, plus an oyster bar, juice and smoothie bar, and coffee bar. The space, inspired by European food halls, houses a team of 70 chefs and food-prep employees, who make the food for Village Food Garden as well as the store's prepared foods and catering offerings. On weekdays, between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., the business crowd descends for lunch. It's a welcoming space for unexpected gatherings too: during the World Cup last summer, Fischer recalls, the Garden broadcast the games, garnering a full house. "Who would ever have expected that at a supermarket?" she says with a laugh. Adding to that community feel are a number of organized in-store events, such as book signings, beauty workshops, and cooking demonstrations with celebrities like "Hungry Girl" Lisa Lillien, "Top Chef " finalist and "The Chew" co-host Carla Hall, and Univision TV personality Ingrid Hoffman. Cooking classes are on offer for adults and kids, birthday parties, and corporate events. And while there is a large indoor and outdoor eating area (complete with a fire pit to keep patrons toasty on colder days) for food purchased at the Village Food Garden, shoppers can also order meals or party platters for home, office, or special events for delivery. For shoppers who prefer to do their shopping online, the store's ShopRite from Home service offers in-store pickup and delivery options. Throughout the store, patrons will find everything they'd expect at a traditional supermarket, plus store-branded products and numerous specialty foods, including imported pastas and sauc- es, like Delverde pastas, Don Vito Old World Classics, and Victoria vegan sauces; sweets like Endangered Species Chocolate and Divine Chocolate; and more. The store's in-house dietitian is available for one-on-one counseling and individual store tours to help shoppers create a customized shopping list for their needs. (Story continues on p. 114.
