The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the College and reports directly to the University Provost. The Dean provides strategic, visionary, and administrative leadership to a variety of constituencies, including academic programs, alumni and corporate support groups, outreach support centers and institutes, and business advising and career counseling. Fundraising is another important role fulfilled by the Dean. Appointment begins August 16, 2011. Salary is competitive. The College is comprised of 5,610 undergraduate students in the Culverhouse School of Accountancy and the Departments of Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science; Economics, Finance, and Legal Studies; and Management and Marketing. The Manderson Graduate School of Business has 629 graduate students pursuing Masters of Accountancy, Masters of Science, MBA and doctoral degrees. The College offers a two-year, on- campus MBA and Executive MBA programs in Tuscaloosa and Huntsville. It also offers various on-line undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The College has 99 tenure-track faculty positions, plus 20 full-time clinical faculty members. College faculty hold 14 endowed Chairs, with an additional 29 holding endowed Professorships. Ninety-one staff are full-time employees. The College first received AACSB accreditation in 1929. It has been continuously accredited since that time. This position is responsible for the cultivation and solicitation of gifts in support of their assigned high-profile, high-impact projects and initiatives, and for the management of multiple fundraising teams. The Senior Director will lead and direct individual team members in assigned work areas. He/she is responsible for establishing goals, performance expectations and accountability standards for each team member. The Senior Director of Development is responsible for the performance and production from this team toward stated University Advancement goals and objectives.
