At the University of Miami (UM) School of Business Administration, the undergraduate experience is built upon a front-loaded curriculum. FIRST STEP Early business classes include FIRST Step, a required fresh- man course which each fall places hundreds of students with Miami-area community organizations. Short for Freshman, Integrity, Responsibility and Success through Teamwork, FIRST Step exposes students to social entrepre- neurship, working in teams, and ethical business principles.
