Each position requires the effective teaching of the graduate and undergraduate courses. A successful record of applied research in the area is also expected. Salary and rank is competitive and dependent on qualifications. QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in business with a specialization in the areas listed above or a closely-related discipline from an AACSB-accredited school or equivalent (degree must be awarded prior to August 1, 2011). A clearly demonstrated record of effective teaching, as well as significant research promise in area of emphasis or closely-related area. Demonstrated success in teaching and research is a plus. Additional competencies (business/management experience, on-line course delivery, consulting, etc.) are plus factors. Awareness of, and sensitivity to, the educational goals of a multicultural and socially diverse urban university population. Penn State Greater Allegheny invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Business (tenure-track, 36 weeks) to begin August 2011, or as negotiated. Responsibili- ties: Teach business courses (nine credits each semester) for majors using traditional and blended delivery modes. Teach- ing assignments may require teaching day, evening and/ or Saturday classes as needed. Publish in refereed journals. Participate in course, curriculum, and program development. Advise students and provide career guidance. Participate in campus, university, and community service activities and in professional organizations. Qualifications: Ph.D. in a busi- ness discipline. Seeking a management generalist able to teach human resources, supply chain, and project manage- ment. Knowledge of organizational behavior, entrepreneur- ship and economics, an emphasis on internationalization, and expertise in collaborative and on-line learning also are desirable. Evidence of potential in research and publication is expected. Prior college-level teaching experience preferred. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.
