DEAN Frank G. Zarb School of Business Hofstra University seeks nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business. Reporting to the Provost of Hofstra University, the Dean provides overall leadership to and support for the Zarb School of Business. The selected candidate will be expected to provide leadership in maintaining AACSB accreditation; assume responsibility for aca- demic administration; foster faculty and program de- velopment; promote, develop, and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with students, alumni, the business community, and governmental agencies; and lead and supervise fundraising activities for the School. In keeping with its objective of maintaining teaching excellence, together with a high level of scholarship and research activity in the Zarb School of Business, Hofstra University welcomes applications from indi- viduals with significant academic, business or gov- ernment experience. Candidates either should pos- sess a record that clearly demonstrates scholastic achievement and academic leadership most likely in a school of business and have a terminal degree in an appropriate discipline, or be a distinguished business or government leader and hold at least a master's degree in an appropriate discipline. The ideal candi- date will possess a record of successful external fund- raising. About the Zarb School of Business: The Zarb School is nationally ranked and AACSB accredited in both business and accounting. The School has ap- proximately 80 full-time faculty members and consists of five academic departments: Accounting, Taxation and Legal Studies in Business; Information Technol- ogy and Quantitative Methods; Finance; Management, Entrepreneurship, and General Business; and Market- ing and International Business. The School offers a full complement of BBA, MBA, MS, BBA/MBA, BBA/MS and BBA/JD programs. Students within the School constitute over one-quarter of all students at the University.
