The College of Business at SF State is currently searching for candidates for the following positions: • Up to Associate Professor, Management (Search #2.08, closing December 1, 2008) • Up to Associate Professor, Management – Strategy (Search #3.08, closing October 1, 2008) • Up to Associate Professor, Accounting – Taxation (Search #5.08 closing November 1, 2008) • Up to Associate Professor, Finance (Search #7.08, review of applications will begin Fall 2008) • Up to Associate Professor, Hospitality Management (Search #22.08, closing January 23, 2009) POSITION: Full-time tenure-track position in the above areas. The position requires the effective teaching of both graduate and undergraduate courses. A successful record of applied research in the area of specialization is also expected. Salary and rank are competitive and dependent upon qualifications. APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: See above, or until filled. APPOINTMENT DATE: Fall 2009. QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Business with a specialization in the areas listed above or a closely related discipline from an AACSB accredited school or equivalent (degree must be awarded prior to August 1, 2009); a clearly demonstrated record of effective teaching; significant research promise in area of emphasis or closely-related discipline. Demonstrated success in teaching and research is a plus. Additional competencies (business/management experience, online course delivery, consulting, etc.) are also encouraged, as is awareness of, and sensitivity to, the educational goals of a multicul- tural and socially diverse urban university population. THE COLLEGE: The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, and offers MBA, MSBA, EMBA, and BS degrees. Approximately 625 graduate and 5,500 undergraduate students are enrolled; courses are offered both day and evening. There are approximately 110 full-time tenure- track faculty.
