Dissolution validation services
Manufacturer of dissolution testing
equipment offers certified chemists and
technicians to perform range of valida-
tion services, including installation qual-
ification, mechanical qualification, per-
formance verification testing,
preventive maintenance, operational
qualification/performance verification,
and drafting of standard operating pro-
cedures and validation contracts. Con-
sistent, traceable results meet regulatory
requirements.

Blister testing
CT3 texture analyzer (left) adapts to quantify force needed to expel tablet or capsule
from blister packaging. After sample is placed on support fixture (closeup, right),
finger-like probe descends to exert pressure, expelling tablet or capsule from foil
side of package. Both probe and support fixture are customizable to size and shape
of product and blister package. Texture analyzer also performs compression and
tension tests to determine force required to split hard capsules; adhesive force of
tablet coatings; strength of bi-layer tablet bond; how well tablets adhere to mucosal
surfaces, and more. Optional TexturePro CT software generates custom reports and
graphs.

Terathertz spectroscopic imaging
TAS7500 terahertz pulsed spectrometer acquires characteristic spectra based on crystalline structure and 3D images to determine
tablet coating thickness and uniformity; it also non-destructively detects cracks, voids, and other defects in tablet cores, such
as from capping or chipping. Spectra allow you to measure solid-phase transitions and crystalline/amorphous composition;
imaging experiments allow you to determine strength of coatings and interfacial bonds of multilayer tablets. Applications
include monitoring change of scale of film coating process by measuring film density and strength. All-electronic, fiber-optic
construction boosts speed and reliability.
