A survey of what's available
UV laser imprinting system
LIS-250D laser imprinting system marks and inspects as
many as 250,000 tablets or capsules per hour. Marking mech-
anism's non-thermal ultraviolet laser turns titanium dioxide
coating from white to gray without thermal denaturation.
Noncontact ink-free marking eliminates missing letters, dou-
ble-printing, and smudges, as well as downtime to clean print
rolls. System allows you to design and imprint logos,
alphanumeric combinations, and kanji. It operates at more
than 500 characters per second, and automatic quality inspec-
tion/rejection allows unattended operation.

Printer with vision inspection
Cantilevered-ramp printer applies letters, logos, and other
imprints to one or both sides of tablets and can inspect them
in same pass for print registration errors; incomplete, double,
or blurry printing; chipped, capped, or broken products; and
coating defects and specks. Inspection system accommodates
all shapes and sizes of tablets, capsules, and softgels and han-
dles R&D batches and production streams as large as 400,000
tablets per hour. Synchronized vacuum ejection system
removes single tablets or capsules. Printer's quick-release car-
