Associate Provost for International Affairs Bentley College seeks applications for the newly established position of Associate Provost for International Affairs. This will be a senior administrative position. Reporting to the Provost, the Associate Provost for International Affairs will oversee all things international at Bentley and will play an instrumental role in leading the institution to an expanded level of internation- alization in its programs, curriculum, students and faculty. Assisted by an associate director, the Associate Provost will also direct Bentley's Cronin International Center. The institution's strategic areas of interest include China, India, Latin America, and Europe, particularly the Mediterranean fringe. In addition, Bentley runs an undergraduate program in Bahrain. Bentley's programs have an applied business focus and the successful candidate will need to have interests relevant to this orientation. In addition to departments common to all business schools, a third of Bentley faculty is from the Arts & Sciences. As a result, Bentley has been able to develop a curriculum and research agenda that is rich, deep and comprehensive. A trans- disciplinary approach is welcome. The successful applicant will have the following qualifications: • Earned doctoral degree in a related field • Academic record appropriate for a senior faculty appointment • Proven ability to identify opportunities, plan and implement strategies designed to internationalize higher education • Excellent management, organizational and communication skills • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, students and staff of diverse backgrounds • Development, fund-raising and/or grant writing skills • Extensive overseas experience • Fluency in one foreign language relevant to our strategic areas of interest The salary is highly competitive and negotiable, depending on qualifications.
