GEORGE R. GARDINER PROFESSORSHIP IN BUSINESS ETHICS York's Schulich School of Business is seeking an outstanding scholar in business ethics for the George R. Gardiner Professorship in Business Ethics, at the rank of senior Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, effective July 1, 2006, subject to bud- getary approval. Preferred can- didates will have a strong track record of academic research in the field of business ethics; be expected to provide leadership in teaching and research in the field of ethics; have a PhD degree; and have a strong grounding in the business discipline(s). Established in 1967, the Schulich School of Business is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on the main campus of York, the third largest university in the coun- try. It enrolls approximately 3,000 students over three semesters annually in under- graduate, graduate, and postgraduate degree programs. Its executive education pro- gram is the largest in Canada. The School's International MBA was Canada's first, as was its International BBA. The Joint Kellogg-Schulich EMBA, established in partnership with Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, was North America's first cross-border executive MBA. BizEd BizEd NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2005 63 Dean, College of Business The University of Southern Indiana (USI) invites nominations and applica- tions for the position of Dean of the College of Business to provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the College. Building on a heritage of exceptional growth in student population, rising prominence in academic circles and an emphasis on applied research, the Dean is to further the rep- utation of the College to its constituents. USI was established in 1965 and today has approximately 10,000 students. About 1,900 students are enrolled in the College of Business which offers nine undergraduate and two master's degree programs. The dynamic and growing College of Business has fifty full-time faculty members organized in four departments. The College and the accounting program are AACSB accredited, and plans are underway for a new College of Business building. USI is located on a 300+ acre campus in southwestern Indiana next to the Ohio River situated just outside Evansville, Indiana in a metropolitan area of approximately 300,000. The Evansville area offers low cost and a high quality of living in country, suburban, or city settings with easy access to diverse cultural activities. The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in a business or business related discipline with an established record of teaching, scholarship, and service to qualify for the rank of full professor. Candidates should have experience in accreditation, building community partnerships, obtaining external funds, and administrative experience at the department level or higher.
