USCHS WELCOMES BOARD MEMBERS The U.S. Capital Historical Society is honored to welcome those who joined our Board of Trustees in 2015. We will introduce you to our 2016 class in the new year. Hon. Roy Blunt Member U.S. Senate Sen. Roy Blunt was elected to the U.S. Senate from Missouri in 2010 and serves as the vice chairman of the Senate Republican Conference. He also serves on the Senate Ap- propriations Committee; the Senate Commerce, Science and Transporta- tion Committee; and the Senate Select Committee on Intelli- gence. He is the chairman of the Senate Rules Committee and of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Hu- man Services, Education, and Related Agencies. Blunt also served seven terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. Before serving in Congress, he was a history teacher, a county official, and in 1984 became the first Republican elected as Missouri's Secretary of State in more than 50 years. He also served four years as the president of Southwest Baptist University, his alma mater, in Bolivar, MO. Blunt earned an M.A. in history from Missouri State University; he is a member of the Smithsonian Council for American Art, a trustee of the State Historical So- ciety of Missouri, and a member of the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees. He is married to Abigail Blunt and has four children and six grandchildren. Sean Callinicos Senior Director, Federal Government Affairs Sanofi Sean Callinicos has been a senior government relations representative in Washington, DC for Sanofi since 2004. Sean has lead government rela- tions responsibility for a number of areas, including vaccines, biode- fense, international, FDA, and intellectual property. Sean also has the lead Washington, DC responsibility for both the Sanofi and Sanofi Pasteur PACs. Previously, Sean represented a Colorado-based high-technology firm, worked for the U.S. Senate on both committee and personaL staff, and practiced 6
