Farmer School of Business at Miami University invites applications for the position of Director of MBA Programs. The School of Business is seeking an energetic innova- tive leader to manage the growth and development of the School's MBA programs. The School of Business is AACSB International accredited and offers BS, MBA, and Masters of Accountancy and Economics degrees to approximately 4000 undergraduate and 150 graduate students. Both the full and part time MBA programs are undergoing major revisions with a launch of the new programs scheduled for the fall of 2005. The Director of MBA Programs is responsible for directing and promoting the full and part time MBA programs. In addition, the Director will establish and maintain the administrative struc- ture necessary to support the programs, including management of some academic matters. The Director will normally teach one course per calendar year. Successful candidates will possess an MBA or cognate degree in a business-related field, with preference given to candidates with a doctorate in a Business discipline and be qualified to teach in a business discipline, as the position includes teaching respon- sibility. Strong interpersonal, public relations, and management skills are required. Previous MBA program administration and operations experience is essential. Among the duties will be to conduct orientation presentations for all MBA programs; meet with the Office of Career Services team to review and approve placement plans; oversee program office staff recruiting and advising activities; and coordinate and compile employment statistics for the internship and graduate placement each year. Additional duties will include developing and managing a yearly marketing plan and operating budget, staff performance evaluations, and alumni contacts; and conducting ongoing review of technology needs. This position will require some travel. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
