United States by the numbers The department of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Illinois Medical Center serves a largely high-risk population, with what are often difficult and complex needs and concerns, at its Women's Health Center in Chicago and at several other sites across the city. Under the direction of Isabelle Wilkins, MD, the department has 21 faculty, 17 of them MDs and four PhDs, more than 75 percent of whom have been named Best Doctors in America, putting them in the top 5 percent of their field.
