DEREE COLLEGE of The American College of Greece/Faculty Positions: MBA Program The School of Business at Deree College is initiating an MBA program to begin in 2003–2004. The College is now accepting applications and nominations for posi- tions on its Graduate Faculty of Business. As this is a new program we are inviting applicants/nominees from any business related discipline but are especially inter- ested in: Accounting, Decision Sciences, Finance, Marketing, Management, all areas of Management Science and Information Systems. Deree College: The largest of the American style institutions in Europe, Deree cur- rently enrolls approximately 6,000 undergraduates, has 25,000 alumni living in Athens alone, and has been educating students in Greece since 1923. The language of instruction is English. The College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and graduates approximately 700 business majors each year. MBA Program: The Deree MBA is the College's initial venture into graduate education. The MBA program will be delivered in a modular format over approximately 18 months and will encompass some 20 courses, including elec- tives. Graduate faculty will have a rare opportunity to be "present at the cre- ation" of a new program at an established institution with an excellent educa- tional reputation and financial stability. Comprised of 18 full-time faculty, the Management Department supports approximately 750 full-time students pur- suing degrees in Business Administration, Management, Hotel/Restaurant/Food Industry Management, Human Resource Management, Integrated Resource Management, International Business, Small Business & Entrepreneurship, General Business, and Legal Studies. Duties will include programmatic positioning, assessment and development/enhancement; person- nel evaluation and development; resource/support management; development/maintenance of external linkages (e.g., advisory boards, internships, etc.); recruitment/retention, etc. This is a 12- month, continuing position with a multi-year contract. QUALIFICATIONS: an earned doctorate in Management or related discipline; experience as a full-time faculty member; involvement in academic administration; and relevant profession- al background.
