Exhibitions Thursday Special Opportunity and Friday Exhibition CRAWL A wonderful tour of exhibitions throughout the Phoenix valley via charted bus. On Thursday, May 24, We offer a special trip to the Heard North Museum for a dazzling exhibit of American Indian gold jewelry. On May 25 is the Friday Night Gallery Crawl to excite your senses with a visually tantalizing feast of exhibitions at three separate museums and galleries in the Phoenix metropolitan area. You may even have time to grab a quick dinner in downtown Scottsdale, which is famous for its art galleries, shopping, and restaurants. Transportation for both events will be by chartered bus. Each artist brings his or her personal aesthetic and experiences to the work, resulting in an exhibit that is a must- see for any jewelry lover. On Thursday, May 24th, SNAG chartered buses will shuttle conference attendees approximately every 20 minutes between 3:15 - 7:00 PM. Last bus will leave the Heard North at 7:05pm. WHERE: Pick up shuttles at the South Terrace Driveway. Walk straight outside the main Resort entry and turn left (a short walk). Friday Night Gallery Crawl Shemer Art Center & Museum 5005 East Camelback Road Phoenix, AZ 602-262-4727 Days /Hours: Tues-Sat 9AM-3PM Thurs Eves 6:30-8:30PM Fri 5/25: 5PM-9PM Credits: 48 Heejin Hwang, Tactile Sensation II (Necklace) Heat Exchange: A Cross-Continental Survey of Enamel Coordinators: Beate Gegenwart, Elizabeth Turrell, and Melissa Cameron Brings together artists, passionate about vitreous enamel and located in North America, Australia, Germany and the United Kingdom, who will exchange ideas and inspirations across the continents via the main interface of a blog. The resulting exhibition will show exciting, new works created in response to this interchange.
