Mary Ellen Brandell dedicated her life to
helping others.
Now her passion will forever touch the lives of CMU students through the Volunteer Center dedicated in her memory.
As a CMU faculty member, Mary Ellen served in many areas such as associate dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Services as well as assistant to the provost of International Affairs.

During the last four decades she was the inspiration behind many local service projects, including helping to establish the Volunteer Center at CMU.
As part of her financial and estate plan, Mary Ellen named CMU owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy. After her life this gift is continuing to provide support for student programs and Volunteer Center activities.
