Edward Talaske, Broadcast and Cinematic Arts major
Ronald and Luellen Newmann understand the value of a quality education. Luellen earned her MSA in 1992 through CMU's Off- Campus Programs. Since then, the couple established the Ronald and Luellen Newmann Award, which supports students from northern lower Michigan.
"There are so many young people in northern Michigan who do not seek a good education and do not seek one due to financial concerns," Luellen says. "We want these young people to know that a college education is reachable through scholarship assistance."

No one knows this better than Edward Talaske, a junior Broadcast and Cinematic Arts major from Rogers City. "The Newmann scholarship helps take the burden off of worrying about how I'm going to pay for everything so I can focus on my classes," he says.
There are many ways you can provide a gift to support scholarships at CMU.
