In the latest development in its long- range plan of transforming the tobacco industry, R.J. Reynolds Vapor Company, a subsidiary of Reynolds American Inc., has come out with an innovative power unit that features Bluetooth technology. The VUSE FOB power unit device is "the perfect combination of form and function," according to RAI spokesperson Jacob McConnico. "The pocket-friendly VUSE FOB power units fit in the palm of the hand," McConnico said. "It features an on-device display that provides real-time information about battery and cartridge levels, as well as giving adult tobacco consumers the ability to dim the display." VUSE FOB works with the same VUSE cartridges as VUSE SOLO and VUSE CONNECT. VUSE FOB can be paired with a mobile app that has several features, including two locks, a hard lock and a proximity lock, that prevent youths or other unauthorized folks from using the device. The mobile app also gives more detailed information about battery and cartridge levels. VUSE cartridges fit into the device and are retractable, minimizing the exposure of the mouthpiece to dirty surfaces. VUSE FOB power units are only available for purchase online at www.vusevapor.com, (age-restricted) and the VUSE cartridges are available at retail stores nationally. "We are excited about bringing this truly innovative device to adult tobacco consumers," said Carlos Lindo, president of RJR Vapor Company. "We believe it will get a lot of attention because nothing else like it exists in the market today. VUSE FOB has state- of-the-art technology built in–and the design is sleek and sophisticated. VUSE FOB has several distinguishing features, and it taps into the emerging trend of 'The Internet of Things,' seamlessly connecting everyday physical devices to the world of smartphones, computers and tablets," Lindo said. "We continue to innovate in the smoke-free vapor space to make products that meet the rapidly changing demands of adult tobacco consumers. This is truly transforming the tobacco industry." Reynolds' VUSE FOB Powers New Vapor Experience {Showcase} Tokyo–After integrating the Cabin and Caster brands with the world's second largest seller, Winston, Japan Tobacco, Inc. has expanded the Winston line (effective January 2016) to include three new menthol offers: Winston XS Sparkling Menthol 8 Box, Winston XS Sparkling Menthol 5 Box and Winston XS Sparkling Menthol 100's Box. Appealing to consumers' diverse tastes, JT has already developed certain taste types, including the "straight-type," the "bitter type" and the "sweet type." Now, with its XS Sparkling line, JT goes a step further to offer three new and distinct menthol products within the aforementioned "sweet type" category. The three new XS Sparkling line products allow the consumer to enjoy a fuzzy, refreshing new sensation and a revolutionizing sweetness, JTI says. These new flavors are available in addition to the "bitter type" and "straight-type" of menthol that JT offers with Winston XS Inazma and Winston XS Spirits Menthol. The XS Sparkling line "sweet-type" menthol products contain a filter "crush capsule" which gives the consumer the option to crush the filter and experience the "sparkling blend," which JT describes as a fizzy, refreshing sensation with a revolutionizing sweetness never tasted before. For its packaging, JT has opted for a light green base color with "bursting bubbles" in a gradient yellow pattern to express the fizzy, sparkling blend flavor profile. The VUSE FOB.
