62 SMOKESHOP August 2016 >>>TOBACCO PRODUCTS & MANUFACTURER PROMOTIONS NEWS Brand Davidoff Re-launches Cusano Brand with Release of Dominican Connecticut, Maduro, Nicaragua Estelí Targeting cigar consumers who are seeking out great value quality blends and taste experiences, Oettinger Davidoff launched Cusano Dominican Connecticut and Cusano Dominican Maduro in the spring, and has now expanded the line with the addition of Cusano Nicaragua Estelí. All three blends were developed to offer great-tasting daily cigars at an excellent value. The two Dominican blends replace the company's former Cusano 18 Series and both are blended with Dominican filler tobaccos and an Ecuador Connecticut binder. Cusano Dominican Connecticut features an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, delivering a mild and mellow smoke with hints of white pepper adding depth and spice to its creamy coffee notes. The Cusano Dominican Maduro taps a dark and oily Negro San Andrés maduro wrapper from Mexico to add sweetness to the blend's woody, earthy flavors with notes of coffee and spice. Cusano Nicaragua Estelí, slated to ship in June, is a medium-to-full body blend with Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos refined with a Negro San Andrés wrapper from Mexico that offers a stronger, fuller-bodied multi-origin blend. All three lines are offered in the same four sizes and suggested retail price points: Toro (6 x 50), $5.49 each; Robusto (5 x 50), $4.49 each; Churchill (7 x 48), $5.49 each; and Gordo (6 x 60), $5.99. The cigars come in a classic wooden slide-top cabinet box and feature a high impact ring design—blue bands for the Connecticut, black bands for the Maduro, and red bands for the Nicaragua Estelí.
