I was a collector of ever ything Hawaiian—I had shir ts, surfing stuff, ever ything you can imagine and a buddy said I needed a woody to go along with the collection. I found this one. I call her 'Little Woody.' She has been restored and modified with a Datsun B210 motor and 5-speed transmission, MG disc brakes, a new interior and paint. When the guy who did the work, Len Billingly of Auburn, California, bought the car, it was a mess—didn't even have a motor. After the restoration, it was par t of a special woody exhibit at the National Automobile Museum in Reno. Len passed away in 2001 and I like to think I'm keeping his dream alive. Little Woody is a head turner. She's not my daily driver, but I take her out on weekends when I'm not working and attend classic car shows occasionally. Owning an old classic car like this is kind of like being those plate-spinning guys who used to be on the "Ed Sullivan Show." Just when you get one plate spinning again, another one slows down and needs your attention. It's a lot of work, but I love it."
