Of 232 animals taken in by the SPCA, more than 100 were cats and dogs. Astonishingly, all have been reunified with their owners. SPCA Community Outreach director Beth Brookhouser says the reunions are one of the best parts of the job. "Seeing the reunifications is so moving—it's hard to describe," Brookhouser says."It makes all the hard work, the overtime — it makes every little thing worth it."
