THE GENTLY ROLLING SLOPES OF
the Santa Lucia Mountains in San Luis
Obispo County produce some of Cali-
fornia's most acclaimed wines. Grapes
ripen more slowly here, basking in cool
breezes from the Pacific, and develop
deep, concentrated flavors. For more
than 30 years, Talley Vineyards has
farmed these hillsides and produced
some of the country's best-known single-
vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
