Whichever skates you end up purchasing, be sure to follow our easy, step-by-step fitting guide: SKATE SIZING GUIDE Normal sizing for skates is typically between 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller than shoe sizes. In a sitting position, the player should put the skate on and kick the heel back at an angle. Lace up the first three sets of eyelets at the toe and kick the heel back again. Then lace up the next three sets of eyelets. Continue like this until the skate is fully laced. Upon standing, perfect adult fitting should have the toes just barely feathering the front of the toe cap. Junior sizing should be a little more generous to provide some room for growth. One-third of an inch represents a half size and usually provides approximately six months of growth. If you are not sure which size to order, call us at 1-800-HOCKEY-1 or send us email with questions. 8 DIGITAL EDITION SKATE BUYER'S GUIDE USAHOCKEYMAGAZINE.COM With ice skates, shin guards, pants, jocks, gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, helmets, goal equipment, inline skates, composite sticks, shafts, blades, along with a full line of performance wear in stock, Hockey1/South Windsor Arena is the hockey player's one- stop shop.
