Brad Reyn-
olds, who
adds details
of the many
charities that
benefit from the show each year. Reynolds says, "It's an
all-around-good event for everybody. It brings in a lot of
people with interests in (our charities), and the artists love
being able to help these groups with their art."
The show begins Wednesday evening with an awards
ceremony and atrium show which features every artist,
and includes live music, drinks and appetizers. The atrium
show continues through Sunday.
In creating a signature event, "Footprints" artists
annually hold their "Art Competing for Causes." It returns
again this year Saturday night with a Quick Finish, silent
and live auctions, all that raise money for local education
causes and Breast Cancer Awareness.
Reynolds also says there is constant free entertain-
ment at the show. The Buffalo Skull Auction (a new event
Friday night) features 12 decorated oversized resin-cast
buffalo skulls. See them poolside at the Holiday Inn
Wednesday and Thursday. Along with the Quick Finish
art, they will be auctioned Friday evening. Proceeds go to
Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art.
If you can't catch a big event during "Footprints,"
be sure to the fine art along their trail, and catch the live
music happening throughout the show.
