Summer Fancy Food Show Booth 6363 Freshii: Building School Kitchens and Gardens Freshii, a healthy casual restaurant brand offering guests a nutritious meal on the go, partners with Free the Children to help nourish and energize kids and communities in the developing world by building school kitchens and vegetable gardens. Proceeds from each purchase of a limited-edition reusable bowl, go directly to fund these projects. According to Freshii, 15,430 bowls build one kitchen and one garden, which provide over 100,000 lunches to kids every year. More Companies Making a Difference 16 Handles: Planting Trees Daily 16 Handles, a healthful frozen yogurt chain, has a philanthropic project whereby each store plants 16 trees per day through a partnership with Trees for the Future. 16 Handles has planted more than 150,000 trees to date. Natierra: Feeding Hungry Children As part of Natierra's Feed A Soul Project, the com- pany donates a meal to a child in need for each bag of Natierra Himalania Superfoods sold. Natierra's goal is to donate one million meals by 2018. The meals are distributed by Natierra's giving partner, Convoy of Hope, a nonprofit organization that feeds tens of thousands of children in Haiti. Project 7: Developing Products for Good Project 7, a specialty gum and mint brand, partners with nonprofits on the seven causes that it deems most worthy. These organiza- tions crusade for the environment, quench the thirsty, house the homeless, feed the hungry, heal the sick, work for peace, and provide education.
